Subject syllabus

1. Introduction to environmental protection. Definition of basic concepts.
2. Earth and life. Man and his environment.
3. Damage to the natural components of the environment. Pollution of air and water. Damage to soils.
4. Negative impacts on ecosystem stability and radiation and heat balance of the planet.
5. The effects of anthropogenic activities on the environment : agriculture and industry.
6. Physical and chemical pollution. The effects of anthropogenic activities on the environment : energy production , resource extraction , transportation. Excessive consumption of limited resources of raw materials and energy. Reclamation and revitalization of the landscape.
7. The effects of anthropogenic activities on the environment : consumerism , waste production.
8. Global environmental problems.
9. Options to protect natural environmental components - technical protection. Technology protection of air, water and soil protection . Technology protection against physical and chemical pollution pollution.
10. Waste management. Basic methods of waste disposal. The introduction of "clean " technologies.
11. Save energy - Use of alternative sources.
