Osnova předmětu

1. Waste waters, character of pollutants in waters, organic substances and their determination, composition and quantity of sewage water, micro-pollutants.
2. Technological lines of large, medium and small WWTP. Centralized and decentralized treatment, industrial waste water, mechanical treatment, coarse pre-treatment, suspension settling and thickening
3. Suspension settling and thickening, settling and thickening tanks, design of settling and settling tanks, technological parameters of tanks.
4. General principles of biological treatment processes, growth curve, kinetic principles of microorganism selection, substrate removal kinetics.
5. Principles of aerobic wastewater treatment, activated sludge, metabolism of organic compounds, removal of organic substances.
6. Basic methods of activated sludge cultivation, activation process, basic technological parameters, oxygen consumption, oxygen transfer to water.
7. Activation tanks aeration, pneumatic aeration, technological modifications of conventional activation systems, technological parameters, activation examples.
8. Biofilm reactors, properties of biofilm, sprayed biological columns, classification and parameters, rotary reactors, combined cultivation of biomass.
