Abbreviation IMCH
Course title Instrumental Methods of Chemical Analysis
Coordinating department Department of Environmental Engineering
Course coordinator Fiktivní Uživatel

Course aims

The aim of the course is to expand theoretical knowledge and practical use of selected instrumental methods of chemical analysis of minerals, products of treatment and processing of environmental material.
KNOWLEDGE PROVEN AFTER COMPLETING THE COURSE: Gaining an extension of basic knowledge not only about sampling in connection with its contribution to the overall uncertainty of the analysis but also from modern advanced instrumental methods of chemical analysis. They will be able to understand the use of analytical reactions in analysis; choose the right way of processing samples; characterize parameters important for instrumental methods; compare the possibilities of classical, electrochemical, spectrometric and separation methods; get an idea of the practical application of the methods. This will deepen their readiness for the independent solution of analytical problems by selected instrumental methods in solving their dissertation and subsequently in common analytical practice. SKILLS DEMONSTRATED AFTER COMPLETION OF THE COURSE: Acquisition of competence to work in an analytical laboratory, the ability to develop basic methods of analysis, presentation and evaluation of results, mastering the correct principles of work in the laboratory. They will be able to creatively choose the optimal method for solving specific analytical problems of analytical practice.
