- Exploration and presentation of real world objects, phenomena and processes. Earth sciences.
- GIS definition and history. Uses of GIS.
- Geometric feature and components of feature description (thematic, time, relation and functional).
- Data, spatial data, metadata, information, spatial information.
- Space. Different concepts of space. Euclidean space. Positioning in space.
- GIS applications structure. Planning and implementation of a GIS.
- Spatial data collection methods.
- Spatial data analysis using GIS.
- Spatial data prezentation using GIS.
- Other geoinformation technologies - photogrammetry, remote sensing, global navigation and positioning systems.
