2nd Week

European Communities. Origin, institutions, EU policy. European Community policy in environmental protection.

3rd Week

Pollution and environmental protection.

4th Week

Act No. 100/2001 Coll. Assessment of environmental impact. Act No. 76/2002 Coll. on integrated pollution prevention and control. Act No. 353/1999 Coll. the prevention of major accidents caused by selected dangerous chemical substances. Information systems of EIA and IPPC. Exchange of information on BAT.

5th Week

Air Protection. Littering and pollution. The nature and properties of pollutants. The limits of air pollution. Sources of pollution. The concentration of pollutants. Measurement and calculation of emissions.

6th Week

Act No. 86/2002 Coll. Air Protection. General provisions. Air Protection. Protection of the ozone layer. Protecting Earth's climate system. Smog situation. State administration in the field of air pollution. Implementing regulations.

7th Week

Registers of air pollution sources, air quality information system. Relationship to revisit the legislative legal standards.

8th Week

Pollution. Waste Management. Types and waste classification. Waste treatment.
Act No. 185/2001 Coll. Waste. Classification of waste by type and category. Re-sampling of certain products. Recording and reporting of waste. Waste Management Plan. Export import and transit of waste. The fees for depositing waste in landfills. Dealing with household waste. The performance of public administration in waste management. implementing regulations.

9th Week

Water pollution. Features and functions of water. Water pollution. Organic and inorganic pollution. Acceptable water pollution. Water treatment for drinking water and wastewater treatment. The general scheme of wastewater treatment plants. Biochemical processes. Processing of sludge from wastewater treatment plants.

10th Week

Act No. 254/2001 Coll. Waters. The basic requirement for water management. Evaluation of surface and groundwater. Management of water flows. Duties of the basin. Duties of owners of water works. Flood Protection. Fees for discharge of wastewater into surface waters. State administration in water management. Implementing regulations. 11th Week

Soil Pollution. Features and functions of soil. The nature of pollutants properties. Allowable soil pollution.
