Subject syllabus

1. Air. Basic concepts and characteristics. Pollution and air pollution. Air Protection.
2. Air pollutants. Breakdown of pollutants. Solid and liquid pollutants. Gaseous pollutants. Pollutants from a global perspective.
3. Classification of pollution sources. Pollution of natural and anthropogenic origin. The concept of air pollution sources. Mobile sources of air pollution. Global estimates of emissions.
4. The main industrial emitters in the country. Production of energy. Industrial Technologies, (metallurgy, production of non-ferrous metals, building materials industry). Services company.
5. Technical abatement opportunities. Technical measures at sources. Device for trapping particulate emissions. Capture dust, mechanical separators, electric separators, filters.
6. Capture and disposal of gaseous pollutants, removal of acidic substances, reducing emissions of nitrogen oxides. Polishing agents on charcoal.
7. Air protection legislation. Act no. 201/2012 Coll., On air protection. Related legislation (government regulations and decrees).
8. Dispersion of pollutants. Methodology for determining the scattering ZL. Mathematical models of the spread of ZL.
9. Analytic Methods in air protection. Methods for measuring particulate emissions. Methods for measuring emissions of gaseous pollutants. Organization measurements. Air Quality Information System (AQIS).
