Subject syllabus

The introduction to general chemisty (properties and composition of matter, classification of compouds). Structure of atom (atomic nuclei, nuclear reactions, electron shell). The chemical bond (forms of bond, intermolecular forces, hybridization). Latent states. The introduction to chemical reactions (classification, thermochemistry, chemical kinetics, ch. equilibrium). Acid-base reactions (electrolytic dissociation, acid-base theory, pH). Oxidation-reduction reactions (oxidizing-reducing agents, standard electrode potencial, elctromotive series). The elements of electrochemistry (galvanic cells, electrolysis). The periodic table of elements (trends, periodicity in the properties of the elements).
The introduction to inorganic chemisty (bonding possibilities, occurrence, physical and chemical properties, industrial production, application and important compounds). Basic elements and its compounds (hydrogen, oxygen, water, air). Nonmetallic p-elements. The metals (general properties, production and purification, iron and steel working, aloys). Metallic s, p-elements. Metallic d, f-elements. Technically important materials (glass, ceramics, ovenwares, inorganic binders). Processing and utilization of coal, crude oil and natural gas. The industrial gases.

The chemical nomenclature, fundamental terms and values. Composition of the multicomponent system. Calculations from the chemical formula. The ideal-gas law. Calculations from the chemical reactions. Electrolytic dissociation. Ion reactions and equations. Calculations of pH. Evalution of Oxidation-reduction reactions.
practise
Oxidation-reduction reactions. Determination of content of CaCO3 in technical calcite. Precipitation reactions. Preparation of insoluble carbonates. Determination of oxygen gram molecule. Preparation of cheome green (Cr2O3).
