Principles of blast furnace process. Processing, charging and distribution of
blast furnace burden. Irregularities and their control: channeling, scaffolding, scabs, hanging, slips choking of hearth, chilled hearth, burning of tuyeres. Stove operation. Oxygenation and humidification of blast. High top pressure. Technology of auxilliary fuel injection. Cleaning of blast-
furnace gas. Perspectives of blast furnace technology.
