Subject syllabus
Project topics are selected so that students become familiar with specific problems in design work and understand the design process system. On less demanding projects, they will apply appropriately selected work procedures with regard to the selected materials and technologies.
1. Introduction to the course, information on general project requirements, project examples, clarification of the topic and sub-goals of the project.
2. Assignment of a basic industrial or product design project, including analysis of the given product. Research in the product area.
3. Conceptual sketches, outlining the basic idea and solution.
4. Correction and selection of sketches.
5. Advanced drawing designs. Commencement of the creation of 3D models of selected variants to verify feasibility in a physical product.
6. Selection of the final design solution.
7. Creation of the selected virtual 3D model.
8. Verification of the model's ergonomic parameters, correction of modifications, approval of the final version or suggestions for reworking.
9. Pre-production consultation on the physical model.
10-12. Production of the final model, correction of details, submission of the project.
13. Project defense.
