Atelier MTD I

Project topics are selected to familiarize students with the specific challenges of design practice and to help them understand the structure of the design process. Through assigned projects of lower complexity, students will apply appropriately chosen working methods with regard to selected materials and technologies.
1. Introduction to the course organization, information on general requirements for project development, presentation of example projects, and clarification of the project topic and partial objectives.
2. Submission of a proposal for a basic industrial or product project, including analysis of the issue of the product. Product area research.
3. Concept sketches, outline basic ideas and solutions.
4. Correction and selection of sketches.
5. Advanced drawing designs. Begin creation of 3D models of selected variants for verifying feasibility in a tangible product.
6. Selection of the final design solution.
7. Creation of selected virtual 3D model.
8. Verification of ergonomic parameters of the model, correction of adjustments, approval of the final version or suggestions for revision.
9. Pre-production consultation of 3D model.
10-12. Production of the final model, correction of details, submission of the project.
13. Verification of projects.
