Subject syllabus

1. Introduction to professional practice – safety and workplace organization in the laboratory.
2. Modelmaking Techniques I – working with volume, scale, and form construction.
3. Modelmaking Techniques II – surface preparation of models for subsequent processes.
4. Basic surface operations – fillers, primers, sanding.
5. Introduction to composite technologies – laminating simple parts, working with matrix and reinforcement.
6. Prototype moulds and components – application of basic composite procedures.
7. CNC machining – machining strategies, tools, interpretation of outputs.
8. Cold sheet-metal forming – cutting, bending, forming operations.
9. Mechanical and adhesive joints – bolted joints, riveting, form-locked joints, preparation and inspection.
10. Welding of simple structures – working with a jig, weld guidance, deformation control.
11. Electrical wiring and automation – principles of wiring design, connectors, basic circuits, sensor principles and digital control.
12. Technological limits in design – relationship between design intent, construction, and production reality.
13. Documentation and presentation – structured technical record of the workflow and final presentation.
