Viscosity of glass, its dependence on temperature, nucleation and crystallization of glass.
Chemical and physical processes of melting (reaction components, dissolve, defecation,
homogenization).
Preparation of charge, the main and secondary raw ingredients.
Furnace, heat recovery in furnace, flow of molten glass.
Shaping glass, procedures, machinery.
Tensions in the glass, controlled cooling of glass
The basic properties of glass (mechanical, thermal, optical, electrical, chemical
resistance).
The main types of industrial glass.
Glass ceramic materials - manufacturing principle, types, properties and uses.
Requirements for raw materials for production of kitchenware and ceramic whiteware.
Preparation of raw material mixtures.
Methods of forming range of of kitchenware and ceramic whiteware.
Heat treatment, the development phase composition and microstructure formation during firing.
