Subject syllabus

Energetical aspects of basic technologies: drying, firing of ceramic materials, melting and refining metals. Heat generation and distribution in work place of industrial furnaces. Heat balance and characteristics of furnace thermal work. Technology temperature, heat spreding optimisation, radiation, convection and conduction, relations among technology demands and heat generation and transfer. Thermal stress, oxidation and decarburization. Thermal regimes of industrial furnaces.
