Subject syllabus

• The first law of thermodynamics, heat, work, state quantities of ideal gases.
• Mixtures of gases.
• Enthalpy, technical work. Basic changes in the p-v diagram.
• Entropy. The second law of thermodynamics, reversible and irreversible processes.
• Carnot's cycle.
• Basic changes in the T-s diagram.
• Real gases and vapors. Evaporation and condensation. Water vapor diagrams.
• Humid air, Mollier diagram. Basic calculations of humid air processes.
• Thermodynamics of gas flow.
• Heat circulations of thermal motors, gas turbines, rocket motor.
• Compressors.
• Reversed cycle, heat pumps, cooling systems.
• Steam thermal circuits.
