· Technical classification of nonferrous metals, their typical properties, applications of pure metals and theri alloys in modern industry
· Raw materials for metallurgy, importance of secondary raw materials and recycling
· Thermodynamics and kinetics of pyrometallurgy processes of nonferrous metals, thermal dissociation, roasting, reduction, chlorination, Kellog´s and Ellingham´s diagrams
· Melting, nonferrous metallurgy products: slags, matte, speiss, crude metal, refining processes
· Hydrometllurgy and electrometallurgy
· Technology, properties and application of heavy metals and their alloys (Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni, Hg, Sn)
· Technology, properties and application of light metals and their alloys (Al, Mg, Be and others)
· Technology, properties and application of noble metals and their alloy (Au, Ag, Pt group metals)
· Technology, properties and application of high temperature melting metals and their alloys (Ti, W, Mo)
· Technology, properties and application of rare earth metals and their alloys Sc, Y, La and lanthanides)
· Technology, properties and application of radioactive metals (U, Ac, Th, Ra, Fr, transuranium elements and transactinides)
