Thermodynamic and kinetic description of pyro-metallurgical processes of production of non-ferrous metals, thermal dissociation, oxidation roasting, sulphatising roasting, reduction,
chloration and chloridation.
Kellog’s and Ellingham’s diagrams.
Melting, properties of melts of slags for non-ferrous metals, grits, speisses and raw metals.
Distillation, sublimation, condensation.
Thermodynamics and kinetics of hydro-metallurgical processes for production of non-ferrous metals – leaching, Pourbaix’s diagrams.
Chemical processing and cleaning of spent liquor by pressure reduction, cementation, condensing, adsorption, ion exchange, extraction.
Theory of electro-metallurgy – electrolytic dissolution and deposition of metals from aqueous solutions and melts, standard electrode and redox potentials, decomposition voltage, overvoltage of hydrogen and oxygen.
