Students will practice diverse methods of presentation of their scientific work. The contents is oriented on attempting to facing up the real situation which students get into by defending their diploma at the latest.
A) Written presentations (in thesis or in a scientific journal):
how to write a paper (at least formally satisfying). “Wysiwyg” editors. Introduction to LaTeX.
B) Oral presentations (at a conference, by defense of a thesis,...)
how to give a lecture, advice to beginning Science speakers (in native or in a foreign language),
how to prepare a slideshow (PowerPoint vs. LaTeX) or a poster (Photoshop-like applications vs. LaTeX).
C) Interactive (web-based) presentations
How to make a web presentation. An introduction to CSS and JavaScript.
Generally, we stress adherence to typographical rules and a ethical principles, especially citation rules.
