Outline of lectures

1. Basic concepts, properties and relations between raster and vector graphics.
2. Basic color schemes - RGB, CMY(K) and others; representation of colors by computer.

5. Graphic formats - basic raster formats, examples of vector formats, methods of compressing image data.
7. Creation of animated movies - usage of appropriate and available free software.
8.,9. 3D modelling with the help of Google SketchUp software.
10. Curves of Computer Graphics - types of curves, methods of determining properties.
11. Surfaces of computer graphics - the types of surfaces, patching, individual characteristics types.
12. Imaging system - the principle function of a CRT monitor, LCD panel and graphic adapter.
13. Scanning and printing - operating principles, the basic parameters of practical tasks.
