Subject syllabus

1. Electrolysis, conductivity of solutions. Conductometric titrations.
2. Partial molar volume. Determination of partial molar volumes.
3. Viscosity. Measurement of viscosity.
4. Heat capacity, heat of combustion, heat of dilution.
5. Distillation, extraction. Determination of the distribution ratio.
6. Density of solid and liquid mater. Measurement of density.
7. Surface tension.
8. Dissociation constant, solubility product.
9. Evaluation of band gap (Eg), UV–VIS diffuse reflectance spectroscopy.
10. Evaluation of photodegradation activity.
11. Determination of the molar absorption coefficient.
12. Ebullioscopy, cryoscopy. Determination of the molecular weight using ebulioscopic and cryoscopic technique.
13. Specific rate constant of chemical reactions, activation energy.
14. Calorimetry.
