Engineering Methods in Fire Protection

Summary

Fire safety engineering includes scientific and engineering principles, rules, and expertise based on an understanding of the basic phenomena of fire and on understanding the behavior of persons during a fire. The main objective of fire engineering is provide acceptable conditions for ensuring the protection of human, the protection of property, environment and cultural heritage in the event of a fire.
