Subject syllabus

1. History of Fire Protection of Buildings (FSB). Legal and technical regulations. Basic notions.
2. General, territorial, dispositional and structural requirements of FSB. Assessment of non-industrial buildings.
3. Fire Compartment and fire dividing constructions. Influence of fire safety equipment.
4. Fire risk. Average and concentrated fire load. Fire compartments and spaces without fire risk. Dimensions of fire compartments
5. Level of fire safety. Fire technical properties of constructions (flammability, fire resistance of structures etc.). Possibilities of improving fire technical properties of building materials and constructions.
6. Evacuation routes in non-industrial buildings. Types, dimension, design and equipment.
7. Distances and fire risk areas of non-industrial buildings.
8. Technical devices of buildings in relation to fire safety of buildings.
9. Firefighting intervention.
10. Specific requirements of FSB - assembly spaces, buildings for dwelling and accommodation.
11. Specific requirements of FSB - buildings for sanitary maters and social care, change of buildings.
12. Fire safety management. Engineering approaches to fire protection of industrial fire protection.
13. New approach of fire safety of buildings (course of specialist).
14. Reserve.
