Summary

The course deals with certification and testing, used as a tool for assessing the conformity of the properties of non-food products with the requirements of technical regulations in the regulated and unregulated areas of assessment in the Czech Republic. The course acquaints with the requirements for authorized and accredited entities that provide testing and assessment of product safety set according to Act 22/1997 Coll., On technical requirements for products and on amendments to certain acts, as amended. The principles of the certification procedure are demonstrated on specific products representing selected product sectors, eg. products intended for emergency operation of fire protection units, equipment intended for environments with a risk of explosion, PPE, etc.
