Basic principles and issues of OSH

Summary

The subject focusses on a set of basic knowledge in the field of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), which is required for the profession of OSH specialist. OSH is an extensive transdisciplinary field with the aim of managing risks that occur on the job and can endanger the health and well-being of employees. Students will be introduced, among other things, to the international and national context of OSH. The subject will provide a basic overview of the OSH management system and its legal framework. Students will learn about the intersections of OSH with other fields, such as Fire Protection, Environmental Protection and Quality Management, etc. In conclusion, students will be familiarised with future prospects in the field of OSH, including future trends and challenges.
