1. Introduction to the prevention of major accidents, risk analysis terminology, ISO 31 000 as a general standard of risk management.
2. Selected hazardous substances and their properties, types of hazards.
3. Major accident - examples, reports
4. Analysis of selected methods used in Europe and in the world, eg Dow F&EI, Dow CEI, etc.
5. Methods of risk analysis FTA, ETA, HAZOP, etc.
6. Emergency scenarios and estimation of their consequences, ALOHA, EFFECTS programs, etc.
7. Assessment of major accident risks
8. Safety management system
9. Procedure of quantitative risk analysis according to CPR 18E Purple Book.
10. Case studies focused on specific examples of risk analysis.
11. The issue of unclassified sources of risk
12. Methods for assessing the impact of accidents on the environment.
13. Links of risk analysis to the areas of major accident prevention, occupational hazards, environmental protection, etc.
