Prevention of major accidents

Summary

The course is aimed at deepening the knowledge on prevention of serious accidents in selected technological processes. In relation to hazard identification and quantitative risk assessment, the emphasis is on approach to reducing risk - assessment of safety measures in various technological processes. Safety barriers can be divided into technical and organizational measures, from another point of view on the active, passive or requiring human action. The subject also includes assessing the reliability of the human factor when critical human errors cause accidents.
