Physical principles of technical devices

Anotace

Introduction to the subject is devoted to physical quantities, physical principles, technical measurements and experiments and their use in solving specific problems of safety practice. It follows the part devoted to principles of electromagnetic and mechanical waves and their applications, principles of spectroscopic methods, defectoscopy and overview of physical fields. The next part is devoted to basic information about ionizing radiation, sources, natural and artificial radioactivity, dosimetric quantities and their units. The conclusion deals with principles and methods of radiation protection, ionizing radiation detectors, including the use of radionuclides in practice.
