Selected chapters of modern physics

Summary

The course is focused on attractive areas of physics, which students may encounter not only in safety practice, but also in the study of materials, methods and technologies using modern approaches and techniques. Topics range from optics, through laser applications, the use of nanomaterials and nanotechnologies, spectroscopic and other experimental methods, thermonuclear fusion, alternative fuels and their safety to quantum and nuclear physics and the basics of special relativity.
