Subject syllabus

1. Security environment, security as a guarantee of prosperity, concepts and definitions.
2. Factors shaping international political relations in security, their participants.
3. State as the main subject of international relations and foreign policy of the state.
4. International conflicts - genesis, development, consequences, international order and determinants of change.
5. Global threats and dilemmas, bipolar system, development of international relations after the Cold War.
6. Overview of traditional international political relations having an impact on the defense of the Czech Republic.
7. Regulations, strategic and conceptual documents of national defense, international humanitarian law.
8. Involvement of the Czech Republic in international organizations and its importance for national security. UN, NATO, EU, OSCE, EUROPOL, SCHENGEN and their importance for the defense of the Czech Republic.
9. Armed Forces of the Czech Republic in the security system of the state, division, tasks and possibilities of deployment.
10. Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic, Army of the Czech Republic, management and division, military service of professional soldiers.
11. Military duty and advance of the armed forces, reserve soldier, military exercises.
12. Humanitarian missions and military operations abroad.
13. Obligations of state authorities and bodies of territorial self-governing units in defense.
