Subject syllabus

1. Contemporary world economy, centres and potential centres of world economy, peripheries of world economy (global South and Global North).
2. Actors of the world economy and relations between them (countries, international organizations, corporations), theory of international trade.
3. Position of the USA in the world economy and reaction of economic policy from the Keynesian period to the present (Keynesianism, supply side theory, new approaches of economic policies since the end of the 20th century).
4. Position of the UK in the world economy and reaction of economic policy from the Keynesian period to the present (Keynesianism, monetarism, new approaches of economic policies since the end of the 20th century).
5. Position of the Western Europe in the world economy and reaction of economic policy from the Keynesian period to the present (in addition to traditional approaches - indicative planning and welfare states).
6. Position of the Western Europe in the world economy and reaction of economic policy from the Keynesian period to the present (in addition to traditional approaches - indicative planning and welfare states) - continuation.
