Subject syllabus

1. Clarify the process for making personnel strategy and policy.
2. Describe the steps of the process of recruitment, selection and adaptation of employees.
3. Characterize the basic principles of performance management of employees.
4. Explain the essence of the process of training and development of employees.
5. Characterize the possibility of employee motivation.
6. Clarify the nature, significance and various tools of compensation of employees.
7. Describe the importance and benefits of teams and teamwork.
8. Characterize leadership and its use in the organization.
9. Describe various theories of leadership and their usage.
10.Explain the basics of ethics and its application in the field of human resources management.
11.Explain the significance and the creation of organizational culture.
12.Define complexity of management across cultures.
13.Characterize diversity and its importance.

The aim of the subject is to professionally and practically equip students with knowledge in the field of human resource management to increase employee engagement in the organization in a competitively demanding environment. In this subject students are acquainted with basic concepts related to the area of the historical development of human resource management and with the main activities of human resource management such as planning, recruitment, selection, training and development and compensation of employees. The main emphasis is placed on the issue of performance management, employee motivation and on the ethics of human resource management.
