Introduction to Management

Summary

The aim of the subject is to identify the basic terms, views, principles and concepts related to management, to characterize the manager, his/her activities, roles and responsibilities and explain all managerial functions - planning, decision-making, organizing, controlling and managing people. The subject also deals with selected areas of human resources management - recruitment, selection, adaptation, learning and development of employees, their evaluation and remuneration. The aim of the subject is also to clarify motivation and communication and explain the nature, function and importance of strategic management.
