Basics of Data Analysis in Regional Science

Summary

Students will be familiarized with the basic regional science information data sources, with the methods of data collection and processing. Attention is especially given to the analytical data processing by using basic statistical methods. The course is practically oriented and puts emphasis on working with real data. During the semester students developed a case study for the specified region, which will be presented separately at the end. Analytic softwares as MS-Excel and IBM SPSS will be in use during the course.
