Logistics

Summary

The course introduces students to the concept, principles, goals and basic tasks of logistics. Emphasis is placed on the systemic concept of logistics flows and overcoming partial goals in logistics. Students will know the basic logistics procedures for organizing flows, they will be able to calculate the basic logistics variables in the company. Graduates will thus gain theoretical knowledge regarding the focus of logistics, its goals and basic tasks, they will understand and be able to explain the influences that affect the course of flows in time and on the costs of flows, they will also be able to determine the size of batches, explain the procedure of planning activities in time, they will know the methods of inventory analysis and replenishment and also the basic procedures applied in storage and distribution. They will be able to apply methods for determining the size of batches, capacity size, for lead time planning, Pareto analysis of inventories, the procedure for determining inventory replenishment regimes and the MRP method. Students will be able to analyze the lead time, structure and movement of inventory. They will also be able to define suitable directions for improving the course of watercourses.

3. Logistics companies and logistics centers. Eurologistics.
4. Logistics of purchasing and selection of supplier.
5. Theory of inventory management and calculation of order levels.
6. Differentiated inventory management system and ABC analysis.
7. Production logistics – types of production, pre-production preparation.
8. Production planning and control, bills of materials and recipes.
9. Lead time of production, its calculation and production synchronization.
10. Distribution logistics, its goals, tasks and methods.
11. Transport and transportation, characteristics of individual modes of transport.
12. Storage, types of warehouses and storage technologies.
13. Tools for material identification, types of material coding.
