Development of Information Systems

Summary

The aim of the course is to introduce students to the theory of information systems, basic principles and tools for the development of information systems from the perspective of analysis, design, programming and development management. Students will become familiar with basic concepts and definitions (information system and its types, IS classification, architecture, etc.), the life cycle of an information system, the design process, including the creation of a wireframe model. They will become familiar with the issues of software testing, version control software (e.g. GIT, SVN, etc.), bug-tracking software (Jira, Mantis bug-tracker, etc.), ticketing software, and IS development management software (Jira). Students will also become familiar with development environments and the integration of the above-mentioned systems into one complex whole.
