Masonry Structures

Summary

The Masonry Structures course introduces the Eurocode 6 which is the European standard for design of masonry structures. Students learn how to design and assess the masonry subjected to compression, shear and bending, using both general and simplified calculation methods. They also learn about vertical and horizontal structures and reinforced masonry. The course also covers execution of masonry according to EC6, detailing or serviceability limit state. Failures and repairs of masonry are also included in this course.
