Industrial and Technological Buildings

Summary

In the subject "Industrial and Technological Buildings" students will be introduced to the specifics of design, assessment, execution and maintenance of industrial and technological buildings. Typical constructions and structural assemblies with a steel or reinforced concrete structure are introduced.

Learning outcomes:
- understand the issues involved in the structural systems of industrial and technological buildings,
- take into account and apply specific loads and operational influences in structural design,
- be able to design and assess load-bearing structures of industrial and technological buildings,
- apply the principles of protection and durability of load-bearing structures, including anti-corrosion measures.
