BIM and VR in civil engineering

Summary

The course deals with the area of digital construction and the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in the design, implementation and use of a building or its disposal. These technologies are based on a sophisticated digital building model and the course includes an introduction to software support environments and shared storage. It is also an introduction to virtual and augmented reality (VR / AR) environments, understanding the specifics and potential of using imaging technologies in the construction industry. The course will provide the basic skills to be able to prepare a 3D model and convert the data into a VR/AR environment.
