BIM and technical equipment in Smart Cities

Summary

The course deals with the basic principles of the practical functioning of cities. It is primarily concerned with the basic tools of spatial planning as the most important sources of information on the current state and the immediate future of all urbanized areas, followed by rules for the overall coordination of buildings in public space, including transport and technical infrastructure, with an integral part of the requirements in terms of barrier-free use of public spaces. Emphasis is placed on the current trends in the construction and operation of the city, i.e. in particular overall sustainability, implementation of blue-green infrastructure elements and careful management of natural resources. Illustrative examples of elements and activities used for the functioning of the city with the help of modern technologies, the so-called SmartCities, are also used in the teaching.
