The course provides students with basic knowledge of the requirements for preparing the practical part of the bachelor's thesis in the study field Building Materials and Building Diagnostics, as defined by the Dean’s directive. Students develop comprehension of the formal, content, and methodological requirements placed on the bachelor’s thesis.
The main focus of the course is the application of these requirements in the independent preparation of the practical part of the bachelor’s thesis. Throughout the semester, students analyze the achieved partial results in relation to the defined objectives of their thesis.
An essential component of the course is the synthesis of knowledge acquired during the study program into a coherent final output of the bachelor’s thesis, based on individual consultations with thesis supervisors. Students are guided toward continuous evaluation of their work and reflection on its academic quality.
