Rock and Soil Improvement

Summary

The content of the subject is the knowledge and overview of methods to enhance the properties of the grounds (soil, weathered and rocky horns). In detail there are on display methods of temporary and permanent treatment of grounds, their principles and the circumstances of their use in praxis. Attention is paid to the following methods of treatment: drainage, consolidation, consolidation, mixing, injection, reinforcement, anchoring and freezing. Each method is documented by a number of practical applications implemented on geotechnical structures of surface, subsurface and underground structures.
