Summary
Historical development of a legislative framework for the protection of nature in the world and in the Czech Republic. Basic concepts in nature conservation. The principles of conservation, the relationship of the individual components of the landscape, biogeographic differentiation of the landscape. Category specially protected areas of the Czech Republic - their legal and administrative security. European Ecological Network (EECONET). Supra-regional territorial system of ecological stability. Biosphere Reserve and Ramsar Convention. Characteristics of the four national parks and 24 protected areas in the Czech Republic (basic data, geology, climate, hydrology, geomorphology, botanical and zoological problems, development of landscape main anthropogenic influences). Nature and landscape protection in foreign countries and globally. Landscape character and legal framework for its protection. Methodology and protection of cultural heritage research.
