Geophysical survey methods

Summary

The lecture includes information about individual methods of engineering geophysics, which includes gravimetric, seismic, thermal, magnetometric, geoelectrical, radionuclide and partly also the well logging methods. Special attention is paid to petrophysics (physical and geotechnical parameters of the soil and rock). Emphasis is placed on the interpretation of geophysical data for the engineering-geological and geotechnical problems and selection of the optimal methods of geophysical methods set. Part of the subject is also brief information on the assessment of seismic loading of structures.
