Rock mechanics

Cíle předmětu

The aim of the study rock mechanics is to develop and deepen the knowledge of rocks and rock masses. The basis of the course is to mechanics of solids, the foundations of which are further developed with a view of the unique features of its own, only rocks and rock structures formed from rocks. Basic topics of study are: descriptive, physical and mechanical properties of rocks; description of the building of the geological environment; state of stress in the rock mass and its causes; response - the rock mass deformation to anthropogenic activities; stability of the geological environment; technological properties of rocks.
