In the course "Building Constructions I", students will learn about an overview of buildings, building structural systems and related structural modifications, in the area of building substructures and superstructures.
- The student will explain the basic structures and structural elements of buildings - civil engineering.
- The student applies construction principles for the structural design of buildings in the areas of excavation work, foundation structures, building structural systems, load-bearing structures, waterproofing of the substructure and the area of non-load-bearing structures, i.e. partitions.
- The student interprets the results of the design of buildings of a land-based nature.
- The student analyzes various structural systems of buildings, foundations, load-bearing and non-load-bearing walls, excavation work and the foundation of objects, including the analysis of foundation structures.
- The student will compare the importance of building design in terms of construction requirements for excavation, foundation, load-bearing and non-load-bearing structures, and in terms of waterproofing of the substructure of buildings with and without a basement.
