Design of Urban Roads

Anotace

The course expands basic knowledge in the field of road transport. It deals with legislation in the area of design of urban roads, traffic surveys and capacity assessment. Students will learn about the division and design of roads, intersections, parking, roads for pedestrians and cyclists, residential zones, parking etc. Another part of the subject is devoted to the analysis of traffic accidents and traffic conflicts and safety audit which are an integral part of current trends in the approach to designing local roads.
