Subject syllabus
1. History, shape, and dimensions of the Earth, basic reference surfaces, coordinate and height systems in the Czech Republic. Surveying control and point fields: documentation, stabilization, signalization, and protection of points.
2. State map series of the Czech Republic and purpose-specific maps for construction: basic and thematic maps, digital technical maps, geoportals of ČÚZK
3. Basic coordinate calculations
4. Length measurements: direct and indirect methods, electro-optical and laser rangefinders
5. Height measurements: methods, instruments, and depth measurements
6. Angle measurements: theodolites, total stations, procedures for measuring angles
7. Cadastral system: structure of ČÚZK, geometric plan, property registration, and access to cadastral records
8. Determination of areas and volumes: calculation of areas, measurement of earthwork volumes, land division
9. Construction preparation: setting-out work, setting-out methods, setting-out drawings, control measurements, and as-built documentation
10. Surveying buildings and land: construction surveys, as-built documentation (DSPS),
11. Measurement of displacements and deformations of buildings: horizontal and vertical displacements, deformations. Monitoring of engineering structures
12. Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS): principles, positioning methods, construction machine control
13. Laser scanning: data acquisition methods, digital surface and terrain models, UAV applications
