Structural mechanics II

Language of instruction angličtina, čeština
Code 228-0245
Abbreviation SM II
Course title Structural mechanics II
Coordinating department Department of Structural Mechanics
Course coordinator doc. Ing. Petr Konečný, Ph.D.

Anotace

In the course "Structural Mechanics II" students learn about the solution of deformations of statically certain structures by the method of unit forces. They will also learn about the solution of statically indeterminate beams, plane member structures by the force method and then the deformation method. They will deepen their knowledge of influence lines and acquire basic knowledge of subsoil models.

Learning outcomes:
- calculate deformations of statically determined structures by the method of unit forces;
- analyse the statically indeterminate structures planar member structures by the force method and the stiffness method;
- solve the influence lines of statically indeterminate planar member structures;
- describe subsoil models.
