Abbreviation ZSD
Course title Fundamentals of Dynamics for Civil Engineers
Coordinating department Department of Structural Mechanics
Course coordinator Ing. Lenka Koubová, Ph.D.

Anotace

In the course "Fundamentals of Dynamics for Civil Engineers", students will learn about the principles and methods for solving problems of building structure dynamics. Methods for the analytical solution of problems with one or more degrees of freedom and their specific applications to load-bearing building structures are discussed.

Learning outcomes:
- define the principles and methods for solving problems of building dynamics,
- solve analytically the problems of building dynamics with one or more degrees of freedom,
- employ the software for matrix calculus to determine natural frequencies and mode shapes of systems with more degrees of freedom.
