Summary
The student will be able to navigate simple linear elastic calculations, including the finite element method (FEM), apply relevant standards and regulations using analytical relationships (e.g. for vessel design), evaluate simple fatigue problems according to Eurocode and identify critical points of the structure with respect to notches and stress concentration.
