Summary

General principles, fundamental quantities of mechanics. Forces and their
characteristics, Moments, Force systems – 2D, 3D, equilibration, congruence.
Centre of mass, centre of gravity – lines, areas, volumes. Equilibrium of rigid
body, the main form of links – in area and space. System of volumes. Principle
of free body diagrams. Internal forces in structural members. Trusses –
methods of solution. Friction, characteristic of coulomb friction, analysis of
systems involving friction. Stability- the main definition. The basic form of
analytical statics.
